Mrs. Theresa Eunice, Melvin, 96, of 113 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, died Tuesday in Halifax Nursing Home.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Theres (Hume) Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Harold Vancouver and George,’ Jollimore;’ two daughters, Edith (Mrs. William Brooks), Halifax, and Mildred (Mrs. John MacDonald), Chester a sister, Mrs. Tillie Wallace, Halifax, and 13 grandchildren.

She was Predeceased by her husband George, three sons, Ralph, Gerald and Donald, and a daughter Dorothy.

The body is in I Albert Walker’s Memorial Chap. el, Halifax, where the funeral will be I p.m. Thurs- day, Rev. Jack Tattrie officiating, with burial in Camp Hill Cemetery at a later date.

GEORGE E. MELVIN

The death occurred Tuesday morning, December 28, at his home, 20 Maynard Street, of George E. Mel- Sr., after a brief illness. He was a valued member of the Veteran Firemen’s Association, the Canadian Order of Foresters and the South African War Veterans. Prior to his illness Mr. Melvin was employed at the Halifax Shipyards.

Besides his wife, the former Theresa Smith, he leaves to mourn their loss, three daughters, (Edith), Mrs. William Brooks, Halifax; (Mildred), Mrs. John MacDonald, Halifax; (Dorothy), Mrs. Edward Barnes, Halifax; and five sons, George, Jollimore Village; Ralph and Gerald in the armed forces; and Harold and Donald at home; also three brothers,,, Thomas and Cecil, Halifax, Charles of Everett, Massachusetts; a
